About Me
Luke is a filmmaker based in Los Angeles, known for weaving humor, grit, and empathy into his work.
Originally from Southeast San Diego, he began his journey by sneaking out his parents’ camcorder to film skate videos, igniting a lifelong passion for storytelling that has taken him from the streets to the big screen. Graduating as Best Director of his class at SDSU, Luke earned early recognition, including the Graduate Opportunity Fellowship at UCLA and the inaugural Atiba Jefferson Film and Photography Scholarship through CSEF.
His films capture the warmth and struggles of untold stories, exploring resilience and community with honesty and heart. His latest short, Fidel, premiered at Palm Springs ShortFest, establishing him as a voice to watch in contemporary cinema. Luke brings a fresh perspective to every project, reflecting the underrepresented voices he holds close.
He’s collaborated with brands like OFF-WHITE, WWE, and the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. Currently, he works as an Associate Producer for Jenkem Magazine while freelancing as a director and editor. When not behind the camera, he’s hunting for the best Mexican food in LA.
